I am an honours student within Prof. Jim Mitchell's laboratory. I recently graduated an undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree majoring in Molecular Biosciences and Microbiology, and I will be extending my knowledge in order to conduct my project which details the 'analysis of groundwater microbes within a purged aquifer' more specifically the presence, abundance and distribution of the microbial communities within the system.

A bit about myself and interests, I am from a Greek background and I am originally from the Northern Territory. I moved to Adelaide on my own to pursue my future in science and to learn new and exciting things. To date I still enjoy learning new things within the laboratory for example new methods and ways to better research etc. I also work a casual position at an external laboratory where I also deal with microbial related samples and so on.

But more importantly I am from a large family and I have always wanted to help people either in medicine or research, and I feel by being in the field that I am in and the field that I aim to be in which is microbial research I will be helping people understand microbes and more importantly help eliminate harmful microbes that create epidemics.
